Simplicity
Published January 16th, 2007 in ITP, blog, simplicity, teaching_In the interest of trying to lead my life according to my recent minor obession: John Maeda’s Laws of Simplicity, I have decided to start off the Spring semester with a little bit of law 1: Reduce.
So out with http://www.shiffman.net/teaching/the-nature-of-code/
and in with http://www.shiffman.net/teaching/nature/
and out with http://www.shiffman.net/teaching/programming-from-a-to-z/
and in with http://www.shiffman.net/teaching/a2z/.
Apologies if this makes your browsing temporarily complex.
You’re intentionally stripping your URLs of meaning and breaking links without providing a 301, just because of John Maeda? Even he says “be careful of what you remove.” =)
Indeed, you make an excellent point. But I just could not stand to look at those little dashes anymore! I do intend to set-up a nice automatic redirect. . . just living on the edge for the moment! (update: old urls redirect to new ones, hooray!)
Pity those of us with dashes in domain names
Glad to see the redirect is up - phew!
