Big Screens 2008
This is long overdue, here are some photos and video from my class’ winter show on the IAC video wall. Six of the projects were made in Processing, three in openFrameworks, and three were pre-rendered video projects (synced using openFrameworks).

Big Screens, Fall 2008
The Big Screens class has kicked off again for this semester. For all of you marking your calendars, the show will be Friday, Dec 12th, sometime in the evening. The students are proposing their project ideas today and tomorrow.
In preparation for the class, I’ve updated the library with new tutorials and downloads.

Next week we’ll be running our first tests of content on the wall. Stay tuned! (Photos below from our first visit to IAC on Sept 12th. They were nice enough to set up the giant lobby space as a classroom, complete with IAC paper and pencils.)
ITP Shows
The ITP Show finished up with some nice write-ups on the internets: ny times blog and MAKE.
About a week or so before the ITP show, my Big Screens class had their own show at the IAC Building on their rather large video wall. I’m hoping we set the world record for largest Processing sketch ever. Some photos (video coming soon):
This, as far as I know, was the first public use of the Most Pixels Ever library, which admittedly needs quite a bit of work still.

My class went to test their projects on the IAC video wall this week. The works in this video are by Young Cho, Hye Ki Min, and Ji-Sun Lee. The pieces in the photos below are by Daniel Liss and Lucia Jeesun Lee. All 15 projects will be on display in December. More to come!
